Dr. Derrick grew up in New Berlin, Wisconsin, and has always had a passion for helping others live healthier, more active lives. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities before continuing her education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
In October 2009, Dr. Derrick graduated from Palmer College with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and is proud to be a Palmer alumna. She is board certified in the state of Wisconsin in chiropractic care and nutrition counseling.
After graduation, Dr. Derrick worked as an associate chiropractor at Associates in Spinal Relief from January 2010 through June 2012. During those years, she gained valuable clinical experience and grew both personally and professionally. She eventually knew it was time to pursue her dream of owning her own practice.
In 2012, Dr. Derrick founded Derrick Family Chiropractic LLC with a simple mission: to help people find relief from pain and get back to doing the things they love.
Today, Derrick Family Chiropractic is a true one-on-one practice. Dr. Derrick personally handles every aspect of the business—from answering the phone and scheduling appointments to insurance billing, day-to-day operations, and, most importantly, providing your chiropractic care. When you call the office, you’re talking directly with the person who knows you, your health history, and your goals.
Dr. Derrick believes that quality healthcare starts with taking the time to listen. She strives to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, cared for, and confident in their treatment. Her goal is not only to help patients find relief, but also to help them return to the activities, hobbies, work, and everyday moments that make life meaningful.
Outside of the office, Dr. Derrick enjoys being involved in her community through volunteering, meeting members of the community, and participating in a variety of local activities. She enjoys playing volleyball and softball and especially loves snowboarding during the winter months.
Her love of snowboarding and passion for helping others come together through her involvement with an adaptive ski program. Through this program, she helps provide adaptive alpine skiing and snowboarding lessons for individuals with disabilities throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and surrounding areas. Adaptive skiing and snowboarding use modified equipment and specialized teaching techniques to help participants enjoy these sports safely and as independently as possible.
Dr. Derrick is proud to call Southeastern Wisconsin home and is grateful for the opportunity to care for individuals and families throughout West Allis, Milwaukee, New Berlin, and the surrounding communities. Whether you’re looking for relief from pain, help staying active, or guidance on your overall health and wellness, she is committed to providing personalized care with the time, attention, and compassion you deserve.
